Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Muslim Ski Club community. To maintain a positive and respectful environment, we require all members to adhere to the following guidelines. Please ensure you have read and understood the community guidelines before participating in any club activity as any behaviour seen to break guidelines will result in your user being removed from the community. If you encounter content or behaviour that violates these guidelines, it is your duty as a member of this community to report it to the community admins immediately.
Religious Sensitivity
Members are expected to behave in line with community guidelines and in accordance with Islamic values.
Event participants are expected to behave positively, dress modestly, and not act in any way that would bring disrepute to the club.
Consumption of "haraam" substances including those that may be legal in the country you’re travelling to, e.g., alcohol etc are strictly prohibited for members during any club organised events or trips.
No member is allowed to pursue or partake in a “haraam” relationship during any club organised events or via the clubs digital channels. Any member found to be in breach of this will have their membership revoked immediately.
Remain respectful towards those who practice their faith differently and accommodate others that need to practice their religious obligations.
Respectful Communication
Treat all members with respect and courtesy.
Any form of hate speech - including racism, harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or any form of abusive language are strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.
Be considerate of diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Engage in discussions with civility, even when disagreements arise.
Personal attacks, inflammatory remarks, or disruptive behaviour are unacceptable and will result in moderation action.
Bullying, intimidation, or targeting individuals or groups will lead to immediate intervention, including removal from the community if necessary.
Members are encouraged to stand against discrimination by reporting any violations to the moderation team.
No Spamming or Unauthorised Promotions
Don’t post any advertisements or promotional content unless explicitly allowed by the community admins.
This includes ski trips arranged by any other groups or tour operators other than MSC. Repeated breach will result in removal from the community.
Spam messages including unsolicited advertisements, repetitive messages, or excessive self-promotion, is not permitted.
Limited self-promotion is allowed only when relevant to the discussion and shared in moderation.
No Unauthorised Solicitation
Do not create or publish invites to sub-groups or third-party group conversations. You will be removed immediately from the chat if found to be doing so.
Do not use the community to solicit money, goods, or services from members, this includes planning any personal or commercial ski trips.
Any unauthorised advertising or fundraising will be removed unless explicitly permitted.
Report any unsolicited commercial messages to the admin team as soon as possible.
Private Messaging Conduct
Do not contact members directly unless you have requested permission to do so.
Respect the privacy of private conversations and do not share them publicly without consent.
Private messages should only be used for necessary and appropriate communication.
Report any harassment or inappropriate behaviour in private messages to moderators.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Respect the privacy of others. Do not share any personal details (e.g., addresses, phone numbers, private messages) under any circumstances without the person's explicit consent.
Be cautious when sharing your own personal information in public forums.
Any attempt to obtain or distribute private member data will result in immediate removal.
Relevance in Discussions
Ensure all posts and comments are relevant to the discussion or forum topic. Avoid derailing discussions with unrelated or off-topic content.
Use designated spaces for specific conversations to maintain clarity and organisation.

All content shared must comply with applicable laws and regulations. Illegal activities, including sharing pirated content, fraud, or any copyright infringement, will result in immediate expulsion.
Constructive Feedback & Positive Engagement
Offer constructive feedback when discussing community matters or other members’ contributions.
Encourage and uplift fellow members by recognising their efforts and contributions.
When giving criticism, remain respectful and focus on the issue, not the individual.
Appropriate Language & Content
Do not share explicit, violent, vulgar or otherwise offensive content that would be deemed inappropraite. This includes images, videos, and links to such content.
Sharing any type of these materials is strictly prohibited.
Be mindful of cultural sensitivities when communicating and how your words may be perceived by others.
Use language that avoids marginalising individuals based on race, gender, religion, or background.
Fostering a Supportive Community
Support fellow members by celebrating achievements and offering guidance when needed.
Welcome new members warmly and help them integrate into the community.
Promote a sense of community and belonging through an encouraging atmosphere and positive interactions.
Transparency & Accuracy
Be honest and transparent in all community interactions.
Ensure that all shared information is accurate and fact-checked where possible.
Do not spread rumours, misinformation, or unverified content.
Avoiding Duplicate Content
Before posting, check if the topic has already been addressed to prevent redundancy.
Use search functions to locate existing discussions before creating a new thread.
Conflict Resolution
If disagreements arise, address them calmly and respectfully.
Use private messaging for personal disputes rather than public confrontation.
If necessary, involve moderators to mediate conflicts in a fair and impartial manner.
Respect for Moderators & Admins
Moderators and admins enforce guidelines to protect the community and ensure a positive experience for all.
If you have concerns about moderation decisions, address them privately and respectfully direct with the moderators.
Understand that admin decisions are final and made in the best interest of the community.
Reporting Violations
If you witness misconduct or inappropriate behaviour, report it to the moderator instead of engaging in disputes.
Provide detailed information when reporting violations to help moderators take appropriate action.
If you encounter content or behaviour that violates these guidelines, it is your duty as a member of this community to report it to the community admins immediately.
Violations of these guidelines may result in
• Warnings: Minor infractions may result in a warning from the admin or moderators.
• Temporary Suspension: Repeated violations or serious misconduct may result in temporary loss of community access.
• Permanent Ban: Serious breaches of guidelines, harassment, including illegal activities or continuous disruptive behaviours, may result in a permanent ban from the community and termination of membership.
• Content Removal: Posts or comments that violate guidelines may be removed without warning.
Policy Amendments
The Muslim Ski Club reserves the right to update these guidelines at any time with immediate effect. Continued participation in the community constitutes acceptance of any revisions. Updated guidelines will be published on our website.
